Goodbye desert rose racing - welcome mote rallysport

The bivouac of the 2026 edition of the Morocco Desert Challenge will be missing one assistance team that has been present for many editions now, Desert Rose Racing. After nearly 20 years of providing mechanical and rider support to international events, the UK based team, headed by Patsy Quick, the first British woman to finish the Dakar back in 2006, has closed it’s doors. Over the last 20 years, the team has supported hundreds of riders and helped them achieve their rally dreams, along with many successful efforts, and incredible experiences at the MDC.

There will be a new UK based team in the bivouac this year though, MOTE RallySport. Started by Joe Mercer, previously of Desert Rose, and born out of a passion of supporting rally-raid riders. Joe has been working in this unique area of motorsport for nearly ten years now, and has a huge amount of experience that is able to be passed on his clients. He and his new team are very excited to be attending this year, providing assistance options to riders from around the world, at the eleventh edition of the Morocco Desert Challenge.

If you are a motorcycle competitor, and haven’t yet found an assistance team, get in touch with Joe at MOTE RallySport: hello@moterallysport.com
